Proenza Schouler's Spring 2012 collection cited Googie architecture alongside African references and Hawaiian florals. ladylike silhouettes — fitted high-waist pencil skirts with structured jackets, flared skirts and cutaway bodices — kept the collection feeling polished and refined. There was plenty of color, print, and texture, black with hints of turquoise, orange and neon yellow, tropical prints, raffia, complete the collection.
