London based shoe designer Liam Fahy releases his luxury Spring/Summer 2013 collection entitled “Congo” in London and Paris. Audrey Hepburn’s 1951 movie African Queen, 1920’s Hosiery, and leather sword belts are just some of the inspirations behind this eclectic collection.
We have traveled quite far with this collection and are using hand printed Java-textiles from Tanzania & Zimbabwe, Congolese mask designs, furry pompoms, watersnake and even bra clips - Liam Fahy
Each one of Liam’s limited edition shoes are painstakingly inscribed with his signature nickel detailing taking as much time to complete as the entire upper of a normal shoe and making each product an testament to Italian craftsmanship.
