NOWNESS.com presents an exhilarating short in which director Barnaby Roper transforms supermodel Joan Smalls into a high-fashion superwoman. Stylist Keegan Singh built up Smalls’ heroic look by plundering designers including Balmain, Rodarte and Altuzara for powerful silhouettes and then finished the looks off with piles of tough jewellery from Eddie Borgo.

Mirte Mass in 'The Future Catwalk' by Barnaby Roper at Nowness

From October 25-31, 2012, The NOWNESSecity Festival introduces a design evolution that further encourages culture seekers to discover and explore the NOWNESS.com platform’s breadth of inspiring stories. The design enhancements aim to offer: more intuitive navigation, curated content recommendations and easier sharing of stories.

To kick off the Festival, with an interactive catwalk by filmmaker-photographer Barnaby Roper and starring Dutch supermodel Mirte Maas, where you are invited to create your own runway show.
