Jason Wu presented his standard ladylike looks, with a mixture of signature masculine looks, with waisted and feminine silhouettes with an accent on raise-and-fall hems. The looks where subtle sexy; hot pants, blouses with Swarovski elements embellished collars, short shorts with polished blouses. cigarette pants, floaty chiffon dresses, and ultra feminine florals walked down the catwalk along with an array of neon gowns.

Jason Wu Spring 2009 collection was full of very lady like pieces, for the well-groomed woman with a penchant for immaculate details.

The dresses ranged from floaty to fitted, many with embroidered details.

The collection included blazer and a wide array of shorts, which Jason Wu has not shown before, which shows he is growing as a designer, who is in his 6th season.

The colour palette was heavily weighted with pink, as well as white, black and grey.

His red carpet dresses were unfussy, elegant, young and fresh, but blogger TraiT is disappointed by them, as he believes these gowns are similar to the Lanvin Spring 2008 gowns.

Finalists announced for CFDA/Vogue fashion fund

The CFDA/Vogue fashion fund has announced it's 10 finalists: Richard Chai; Jason Wu; Alexander Wang; Irene Neuwirth; Albertus Q. Swanepoel of Albertus Quartus; Alejandro Ingelmo; Juan Carlos Obando; Swaim and Christina Hutson of Obedient Sons & Daughters; John Patrick of Organic, and Sophie Mayock and Lisa Buhai of Vena Cava.
Prizes for the winner include a mentorship with industry leaders and a monetary award of $200,000. Past winners Rogan Gregory of Rogan, Doo-Ri Chung, Trovata and Proenza Schouler's Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough have certainly gone on to great things after winning the award.
