BNTM 5: Britians Next Top Model Cycle 5: Promo

The wait is almost over! Britain's fabulous glamorous catwalk competition returns in April 20, 2009 for its fifth series! Boasting its biggest and most beautiful line up to date, Lisa Snowdon returns to present the show. Joining her on the judging panel is Icelandic photographer and Creative Director Huggy Ragnarsson. We're also excited to announce new judge - hat designer extraordinaire Louis Mariette! This time there will be 20 girls and they must first face a brand new challenge - boot camp! The models in training will be put through their paces, and those that don't shape up will be sent packing, leaving the rest to fight their way down the catwalk in the hope of becoming Britain's Next Top Model. Who will make it past Boot Camp? What will come of Hayley - the model who YOU voted in! Which leading designers and celebs will the girls be meeting? Alexa Chung: 'Frock Me'

Alexa Chung and designer Henry Holland are to front Frock Me, a fashion show for Superbox Productions and Channel 4.

The 45-minute magazine programme will focus on fashion and music and feature interviews with fashion icons and celebrities. Each week, style scout Gemma Caimey will visit a different UK city and challenge members of the public to create an outfit based on a particular theme, culminating in a studio 'Frock Off'.

Executive producer Jules Wilson said: "This is a dream first commission for Superbox and we're very excited to have the most wanted duo in fashion fronting the series."T4 head Jules Oldroyd added: "This is the first time that T4 has commissioned a fashion show and our aspiration is that each week we will celebrate the whole spectrum of fashion and inspire our audience to have more fun with what they wear."

Frock Me will air for a seven-week run on T4 begins at 11am on Sunday, 5 October.

New Fashion Show for BBC 2: 'British Style Genius'

The onslaught of fashion-oriented TV programming continues with the announcement that BBC Two will soon be screening a style series of their own.

First off, we have Channel 4's Gok's Fashion Fix, the upcoming Frock Me! with Alexa Chung for T4, Abbey Clancey's The Fashion Project with Geroge Lamb for ITV2, and now British Style Genius for BBC Two.

It's like TV land just woke up one day and realised that there is a mass-market audience who like clothes.

Well, for a starters it is a documentary format, which examines how style in Britain has been influenced and shaped by the many different trends over the years. It will look at all the varying aspects from high street to high-end couture, from Savile Row tailoring to "chav", exploring what makes the British sense of style of today so unique from the rest of the world. It will also feature contributions from Twiggy, Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen, and Kate Moss who will appear in meetings with Topshop boss Sir Philip Green, and trying on clothes.

New fashion show in the works for ITV

After the success of Gok Wan's fashion fix for channel 4, other networks have realised that people will watch shows about fashion. ITV look to be second off the mark with a new fashion based show that due to air soon.
According to the fountain of knowledge that is The Automatic's NME blog, we know that George Lamb will be hosting the show and that it plans to be "Kinda like the 'Friday Night Project', just with clothes instead of jokes".

Alexa Chung and Henry Holland to present T4 fashion show

Rumours abound that Henry Holland and Alexa Chung are going to present a T4 fashion show and the latest is that it will be called 'Frock Me'... geddit?

Alexa Chung doesn't have any formal fashion credentials but thanks to her quirky style she's become a bit of a fashion icon for the indie crowd and topped the Guardians Summer Cool List. It'll be interesting to see her pair up with Henners, hopefully they'll hit it off and have us chuckling through our hangovers.
